RPW Group, Inc. was founded in 1980 by Robert P. Weisz and has since become a premier owner and developer of commercial property in the New York tristate area. Our specialty is the acquisition and repositioning of underperforming assets through the use of our vertically-integrated business model. To date, we have owned and developed in excess of 10 million square feet of office and retail space. RPW Group today represents the largest private owner of Class A office buildings in Westchester County, but the company remains rooted in its humble beginnings.

Founder Robert P. Weisz was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay, the son of a furniture-maker. After attending college in Brazil, Weisz moved to New York with hopes of bringing to life his own American dream. Within three short years, Weisz had set up a thriving wholesale furniture business, and was in the market for a building in which to warehouse his inventory. This first acquisition opened the door to what is today RPW Group, Inc.

From the very beginning, we at RPW have not sought the obvious. In the early years, redevelopment opportunities were targeted, such as a former RKO theater in New Rochelle that was transformed from a longtime neighborhood eyesore into a school and neighborhood shops. Over the past 20 years, however, our ownership focus has evolved, emphasizing Class A office buildings in NYC, Westchester, and Long Island Counties. Specifically, we target well-located but under-achieving properties and reposition them through solid management, meaningful building upgrades and quality tenant services. Because we do our construction in-house, one tier of the construction process is eliminated, resulting in better communication, timely scheduling, superior quality control and reduced costs. Our streamlined approach further benefits our tenants in the form of lower rental rates.

Most important to us, however, is our wholehearted commitment to integrity and customer service. As a multi-generational family business, we know that each of our business decisions reflects on our name and reputation. For this reason, at RPW, a verbal agreement is as strong as a signed contract. Our reputation for integrity is further bolstered by a company culture that prizes excellent service, and each member of our team is personally invested in providing a stellar customer experience. We believe this two-pronged corporate philosophy largely accounts for our consistently high renewal rates and low vacancy rates.

That being said, we at RPW recognize that our success is due in no small part to the communities in which we operate. For this reason, giving back is something we take very seriously.
